Hi, we are Christian and Helon, nice to meet ya!
We are husband and wife who love to travel and be outside. Currently living in Arkansas we are parents to two beautiful baby boys (Baby W & Baby C, maybe one day I will share their names), and dog parents to the best pups, Buddy and Sitka.
C&H Travels is mostly my (Helon’s) project, but you will definitely hear from Christian along the way. I’ve always thought of creating a blog – turned Travel Agency – to share my experiences. I’m thrilled to finally have the time to make it all happen. I have a passion for planning and my family and friends, especially Christian, make total fun of me because I love it too much.
My favorite planning is planning for trips. I love the research, making itineraries, and the trip itself is icing on the cake whether it goes as planned or not. I must admit, I am one of those people who get in a terrible mood when plans do not work out, but I’ve gotten better at going with the flow the older I have gotten, especially with becoming a mom.
Basically, what I’m saying out of all this: C&H Travels has been inevitable.
Christian and I are blessed to have called many amazing places “home”. Collectively, we have called Spokane, Washington – Vail, Colorado – Orlando, Florida – Middle Tennessee – Park City, Utah – Salt Lake City, Utah – Boulder, Colorado, and Hot Springs, Arkansas home. Besides the places we have called home, the two of us have traveled all over the United States, Europe, Africa, and Central America.
In all of these places we have been fortunate to indulge in our hobbies of mountain biking, snowboarding, flyfishing, camping, eating, hiking, hunting, and Christian’s newest hobby of disc golf. I leave the mountain biking, hunting, and disc golf to Christian. It’s an amazing lifestyle we are so fortunate to have. We are excited to share as much of this with you as we can from doing it solo, as a couple, and how we have managed our lifestyle with a baby.
Sharing our experiences, where we stayed, our favorite parts of the trip, things that didn’t go as planned, the do’s and the don’ts, the places we ate, full itineraries, and more is our mission. Something I love about us is we try to go off the beaten path and find unique experiences. You will also come to find that we are great at roughing it on some trips yet amazing at spoiling ourselves on others. We have so much to share.
