BRUNCH IN SALT LAKE CITY | THE ULTIMATE GUIDE

I don’t know about you, but we LOVE brunch and we LOVE mimosa’s even more. This might be a surprise, but again this is Utah… Finding a great spot for brunch, and I mean great by amazing food and delicious mid-morning adult beverages like mimosa’s and bloody mary’s, can be a little bit difficult. Mainly in the summer’s (winter’s we were on the mountain most Sunday morning) if we were in town our Sunday morning routines were church and then go out for brunch. So, here’s to our favorite brunch spots that are a must when visiting Salt Lake City.
* you cannot order alcohol until 11:30AM in restaurants.

PIG & A JELLY JAR

This is our go to nearly every time after church. Helon always orders a ‘kitchen sink’ with a ‘strawberry smash’ which is champagne with smashed strawberries and you cannot even imagine how good it is until you try it. Christian almost always goes with ‘friend chicken & biscuits’ with two eggs and a beer from their craft selection.

There are 3 locations within the area – Salt Lake City, Holladay, and Ogden. All serve “southern” inspired brunch from open to close.

SLC and Holladay locations are open 7 days a week 8:00AM – 3:30PM

SWEET LAKE BISCUITS & LIMEADE

Never have I ever UBER eats brunch expecting it to be delivered as fresh as if I was sitting in the restaurant. Not joking, I ordered egg’s benedict and it was delivered hot and perfectly cooked, runny eggs and all. Also, not sure what they put in their hollidase sauce but wow, just wow. In my opinion, Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade has THE BEST egg’s benedict. On top of that, they have all kinds of fresh limeade and all the grown up drinks we find to be very important for brunch.

They have three locations, Salt Lake City, Draper and American Fork. All locations serve brunch from open to close.

Tuesday – Thursday 8:00AM – 2:00PM
Friday 8:00AM – 4:00PM
Saturday – Sunday 7:00AM – 4:00PM
closed on Mondays

HUB & SPOKE DINER

We have passed this place so many times on the way to church and finally decided to give it a try and man oh man were we pleased. I have a new-found love for bloody mary’s and LOVED theirs.

Fun fact: if you get any kind of cocktail in a big glass it will not taste right because in Utah they are only allowed 1 jigger of hard liquor per drink. Restaurants and bars cannot legally place another alcoholic beverage in front of you until you finish the first drink. So, long story short, only trust small cocktails in Utah and this bloody mary was in a small glass.

The food was delicious and this boutique restaurant is the cutest – including the little baby boutique right next door.

Breakfast, Brunch, and Lunch is offered all day everyday with a special brunch menu on the weekend.

Monday – Friday 8AM – 3PM
Saturday – Sunday 8AM – 4PM

WASATCH BREWERY

I have Wasatch Brewery on here because the food is always good and they have $5 mimosas and bloody mary’s on Saturday’s and Sunday’s. We love going in the summer to sit out on the patio with Buddy (they are very dog friendly) and it’s seconds from where we used to live in Salt Lake City.

Besides brunch, they have a great selection of American cuisine. When everyone wants something completely different, we go to Wasatch. I personally cannot recommend the Cobb Salad enough!!! It is always delicious and Christian is always ordering their pizza or one of their many sandwiches.

Monday – Friday 12:00PM – 10:00PM
Saturday – Sunday 10:30AM – 10:00PM

*Brunch is ONLY on the weekend.

A few other places worth trying out that I can suggest from word of mouth, mostly from a friend who has lived in Salt Lake City her whole life:

  • RYE
  • Purgatory
  • Oasis Cafe
  • Avenues Proper
  • Green Pig Pub
  • Market Street
  • Bohemian Brewery

All the love,
